What's New

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a voluntary organization whose purpose is to augment the missions of the United States Coast Guard.  The Auxiliary is non-military and has no law enforcement authority .  The Auxiliary's primary mission is to promote  boating safety upon the inland and coastal waters of the United States of America.

This is accomplished through public education, vessel safety inspections, local safety patrols,  and by assisting the Coast Guard  in carrying out its Search and Rescue,  maritime security. and  environmental  protection responsibilities . We are the "eyes and ears" of  the Coast Guard,  ever ready to serve the needs of  the boating public.

Flotilla 8-1 operates in and around the Ocean City New Jersey area,  including Great Egg Harbor Bay and adjacent waters.  Monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of  each month at the Stainton Senior Center  on Bay Avenue in Ocean City.

If you are interested in joining the Auxiliary, please call us at our contact phone number below, or attend one of our monthly meetings.
